To ensure your success, advisement is highly suggested prior to registration for all incoming transfer students. Transfer Advisement Workshops for Fall 2024 Transfer students will beginÌýin mid-April.

What should I do BEFORE my advisement session?

  • View the Transfer Tips (in first drop-down menu below)
  • ClickÌýhereÌýfor instructions on how to download and access your Degree Progress Report (DPR) to start reviewing your remaining degree requirements.Ìý Your DPR will not be fully accurate until your final transcripts have been received and officially evaluated by Admissions and Records.


ÌýTRANSCRIPTS:Ìý If you have not submitted all transcripts from the community college(s) and/or universities you have attended, please do so as soon as your final grades are available.

In order to attend jmcomicÂþ»­N next semester, you must:

  • Declare your intent to register by the established deadlines.
  • Submit all final transcripts by the established deadlines.
  • Pay your fees by the established deadlines. Please refer toÌýÌýfor deadline dates. Students who do not pay for their classes by the deadlines will be disenrolled and will be required to re-enroll for their classes after payment is received.

All jmcomicÂþ»­ undergraduate students with catalog years 2024 and beyond must demonstrate competency in writing skills as a requirement for graduation.ÌýAt jmcomicÂþ»­N, students who have met the lower division writing requirement, completed 56 units or more, and intend to graduate with a baccalaureate degree are required to demonstrate their writing proficiency in one of two ways:

  1. Students may meet the GWAR by receiving a grade of "C" or better in a minimum of 6 units of coursework in designatedÌý; or
  2. Students may meet the GWAR by receiving a grade of "C" or better inÌýÌýRecursive Writing.
