International Coordinating Council
The jmcomic漫画N International Coordinating Council (ICC) comprises those in administrative roles in the different Divisions of who have direct responsibility for components of jmcomic漫画N鈥檚 work with and services for international students and/or jmcomic漫画N domestic students taking advantage of opportunities to study and/or do research outside of the US. The members of the ICC are appointed by the jmcomic漫画N president and divisional vice presidents each June to serve for the upcoming year. Once appointed, members of the ICC can suggest additional members from their units to ensure that those most directly involved with international programs and services at jmcomic漫画N are invited to the meeting of ICC.
The purpose of ICC is to ensure that there is regular communication, ongoing collaboration, and mutually supportive design of solutions to challenges faces and/or the continuous improvement of jmcomic漫画N programs and services for international students and jmcomic漫画N domestic students participating in opportunities to study and/or do research or creative projects abroad as part of the jmcomic漫画N education experience. The ICC is chaired/facilitated by jmcomic漫画N鈥檚 Senior International Officer. The ICC meets twice a year (once in the Fall Semester and once in the Spring Semester) and prepares a report at the end of those semesters that is broadly shared throughout jmcomic漫画N and with appropriate other jmcomic漫画 offices. The ICC also often has a number of working groups each year that meet more frequently to move forward on specific assignments for ICC as a whole. Such working groups then report their recommendations/implementation plans to ICC for feedback from the varied perspectives of ICC members. The recommendations/implementation plans refined by feedback from the full ICC membership are then conveyed by the ICC chair to the appropriate jmcomic漫画N Divisional VP (or designee) to make final decisions about the recommendations/implementation to move jmcomic漫画N's international capacities, processes, and strategies forward.
The ICC can be convened for additional meetings if warranted.
The ICC works with a focus on jmcomic漫画N鈥檚 international principles and priorities (see Attachment A below) and in keeping with jmcomic漫画N and jmcomic漫画 policies as well as in compliance with applicable State and Federal laws/policies.
