Mental Health Response Coordinator

Arpi plays a dynamic role as the Mental Health Response Coordinator at jmcomicÂþ»­, Northridge (jmcomicÂþ»­N). With a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from jmcomicÂþ»­N, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her position.

In her capacity as the Mental Health Response Coordinator, Arpi is responsible for crisis response and providing essential mental health support to the jmcomicÂþ»­N community. Her steadfast commitment to this aspect of campus well-being is evident in her proactive approach and dedication to assisting students and staff in need.

Drawing on her experience as a psychotherapist, Arpi employs a diverse array of therapeutic modalities and interventions to offer personalized care and guidance. Her comprehensive understanding of trauma-informed care ensures that individuals receive compassionate support tailored to their unique needs.

Arpi's passion for promoting mental health and well-being within the jmcomicÂþ»­N community drives her efforts to create a culture of support and resilience. Mental Health Response Assistant

Jodee Ann Conui is the Mental Health Response Assistant for the Mobile Campus Response (MCR) Team at jmcomicÂþ»­, Northridge (jmcomicÂþ»­N). She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from jmcomicÂþ»­N. In her current role, Jodee Ann works closely with the Mental Health Response Coordinator, responding to calls for assistance from individuals in mental health crises.

Her journey with jmcomicÂþ»­N began in 2022 as a student assistant with the Matador Patrol safety escort program. Over time, she advanced to roles including advisor, senior advisor, and student coordinator, gaining valuable experience in campus safety and support services. Her academic experience in Applied Psychology and Psychology and Law enriches her approach as a Mental Health Response Assistant.

Passionate about enhancing campus wellbeing, Jodee Ann brings compassion, empathy, and dedication to her role, aiming to make a positive impact within the jmcomicÂþ»­N community.


Deputy Chief Mark Benavidez, MA

jmcomicÂþ»­N Department of Police Services (DPS)

Deputy Chief Mark Benavidez has proudly served the jmcomicÂþ»­, Northridge campus community since 2002. During Mark's time at jmcomicÂþ»­N, he has excelled in the field of mental health response. He has shared his expertise and experience in this field with other campus police officers as a trainer for the jmcomicÂþ»­ Mental Health Training for Law Enforcement. Mark co-presents with the Associate Director of University Counseling Services, an 8-hour course designed to train our jmcomicÂþ»­N police officers on "How to respond to situation involving mental health with a care and crisis intervention approach".

Deputy Chief Benavidez earned his bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from the University of Colorado, Denver, and his master's degree in Emergency Management and Homeland Security from the Arizona State University. Mark is excited to be a part of a mobile mental health response team at jmcomicÂþ»­N that is an alternative to the traditional, uniformed police response.
