Portal and Mobile Applications Committee
Overview
The Portal and Mobile Application Committee (PMAC) is an ad-hoc working group that provides strategic oversight and functional review of mobile and portal technologies, including content, and advancing advice and recommendations to the Digital Presence and Governance Committee (DPGC).
Responsibilities
Provide recommendations to the DSIC regarding:
- Strategies for the university's mobile and portal platforms that align with institutional goals and priorities.
- Guidelines and standards for content creation, management, and publication on mobile and portal platforms.
- Reviews of content and layout to ensure they meet expectations and align with the university’s brand.
- Adoption and integration of current technologies to enhance platform functionality and improve user experience.
- Usability, accessibility, and the overall user experience on mobile and portal platforms.
- Ensuring that all mobile and portal platforms adhere to jmcomicÂþ» and jmcomicÂþ»N security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Ensuring that all mobile and web content complies with jmcomicÂþ» and jmcomicÂþ»N policies and standards on accessibility.
- Collection and analysis of feedback from students, faculty, and staff to continuously enhance mobile and portal platforms.
- Coordinating training programs and resources to support content creators in developing high-quality, effective content that advances university goals and objectives.
